Digital Product Delivery – 12 Steps to Set Up a Digital Product

Digital product delivery entails a few steps in order to set up your product correctly. If you are an internet marketer, you need to learn these steps so you can use them to promote your products on the Internet.

The delivery of digital products requires the use of a computer, an HTML editor, and an FTP program. When you have a digital product, here are the steps that you take to set it up so you can start selling it on the Internet:

1. Download your digital product folder on your desktop. Keep all your product files together in one folder. It is important to be organized.

2. Make sure you have a salespage, a download or thank you page, and a product that you are going to deliver. You will also have an images file.

3. Use an HTML editor and upload your salespage, and call it index.html. Your salespage is called index because that is always the page that will automatically open up in a directory. Make any edits that you need to make on your sales page.

4. Get an autoresponder service and create a list for your product. Create a web form for the list. Get the opt in code from the web form and install it in your sales page, using your HTML editor. The opt in code is where your subscribers will fill in their names and email addresses.

5. If you are selling the product, go to PayPal or another sales processor and create a code to link to your payment button and other text payment links. Link the button and text links to this code in your HTML editor.

6. Create a file for your digital product that you are going to deliver. If you are providing a salespage or squeeze page with the product so that your customers can resell the product, make sure you also insert the graphics, or images file, as well as these pages for them to edit, with your product. Zip up your product file to make it into a compressed file.

7. Edit your download page on your HTML editor. On the HTML editor create a download link on your download page for your digital product. Make sure your links work. Always test them.

8. Insert the name of your download page as the “confirmation page” in your autoresponder, so that people are taken to this page when they subscribe. This is what it would look like: []. (Don’t name it download page, name it something that people will not be able to guess, such as “downloadkdo30d938” so hackers cannot download your product for free).

9. Get a domain, where you are going to place your product. You can buy a domain from Hostgator, Hostmonster, or other providers. Activate the domain.

10. Go to your domain in your FTP program. Open up the domain and create a directory under a domain, such as [].

11. Upload your files directly under the specified directory, making sure you follow the correct path. In other words, if you are going to name it “product-name” as shown above, make sure you insert all the files directly under the folder called “product-name”, not directly under the domain.

12. Test all your pages. Make sure your salespage takes you to your autoresponder when you submit an email address in the opt in form. Make sure that the autoresponder then sends you to the correct download page, or “confirmation page”. And again, test your link in the download page, and make sure it takes you to the delivery of the digital product.

These are basic steps that you will always use to deliver your digital product, so it is good to learn them. Make sure you follow these steps in order, so that you don’t get confused. Once you have set up your products a couple of times it gets easier. You will be able to set up the delivery of digital products in no time.

Make Money Fast by Taking Advantage of Digital Products

It is no surprise that digital products provide sellers with outstanding ways to make money fast. While reading this article, you will become aware of some of the huge benefits this version of product affords to the individual who is compelled to make money fast.

A major benefit which these products provide to their sellers is their cost. Since you are selling something which your created with your own intellect, the cost of goods sold is potentially non-existent. Furthermore, digital products do not need to be physically stored or shipped, which eliminates the need for logistics. Additionally, digital products can be sold over and over to new customers at no additional product costs to you. Marketing digital products is simple since affiliate networks provide a venue which enables you to allow affiliates to promote your products for you. Your products are ready to be sold to any customer in the world, at any hour, of any day, and are delivered to your customer automatically upon sale.

One of the major factors in determining when a business will become profitable are it’s start-up costs, overhead and fixed costs. To make money fast, you must keep your start-up costs, overhead, and fixed at a minimum. The lower these costs, the more quickly the business will become profitable.

If you decide to go the route of digital products, you will realize that the start-up costs are very low, if any at all. Remember, you are selling your intellectual property, not something which has been constructed from purchased raw supplies. Therefore, you are earning a profit from taking what is in your mind, and putting it in a transferable digital format. Some examples of this are scripts, eBooks, and software. These three examples do not rely on purchased materials. Rather, they come into being through your time and creativity.

Another reason why digital products are such effective commodities to make money fast is due to the fact that they are stored on a hard drive, and not in a warehouse. Right now you can sign up for a hosting plan with unlimited storage stage and transfer bandwidth for only $3.95/month. Compare this with warehouse space which can run a business hundred, if not thousands of dollars each month.

The thing that makes digital products so profitable is the fact that when you are selling such a product, you are merely selling a copy of the file. A file which can be sold a thousands of times over at no additional cost. Even further, a simple $147 dollar program will organize and deliver your digital products upon sale. Contrast this with the thousands of dollars in warehousing costs and shipping. Only a fraction of this can be passed onto the customer if you wish to remain competitive in your market.

Keep in mind that you do not even have to sell your products yourself. Rather, all that you need to do is list your products on an affiliate network, and allow affiliates to market your products for you. The best thing is that affiliates work on commission. Therefore, you only have to pay your affiliates after they make a sale upon which you get paid. Your advertising risk is completely eliminated this way.

Because digital products only need to be set up once to be delivered automatically, both purchase and delivery can take place at any hour of the day, on any day of the week, to any place in the world. Unlike physical products, digital products are not subject to tariffs or restrictions.

As you can see, digital products are the way to go for anyone looking to ways make money fast.

Selling Digital Products On The Internet Today

Want to know what my favorite business model in the world is? It’s easy to guess, I practice it everyday on my computer. It’s selling digital products! These are the type of products that are “digital”, and can be instantly downloaded onto your computer. And once you receive it, you can start using it immediately.

There’s no waiting 7-12 days for shipping, and of course… no shipping fees. And actually when you think about it, I think it’s a better economical choice too. Nowadays, technology is taking off! You can now view movies on demand on your phone, laptop, tablet, pay per view channel, and etc. It’s incredible!

There are a lot of video rental stores going out of business all across the country. It’s so easy to rent a cheap DVD nowadays that all you have to do is go down to your local Walmart and insert a dollar or two to have your DVD dispensed from the DVD rental vending machine. I can’t even remember the last time I rented a DVD from a traditional video rental store.

In my opinion, selling digital items is the only logical way to sell nowadays. People want their products fast, clean, and in good condition… what better way to give them that than an instant digital product that they can download and use 2 minutes after purchasing? It’s a beautiful thing. And you should learn more about it. It can be powerful.

Now some people like to dramatically price their digital products. One form of digital product called an “eBook” is something that many people feel that should be priced around $20 – $30. I don’t agree with this – at least on the frontend sale.

If you have an exclusive product that you want to sell to your backend customers that is full of tremendous value – and it’s something that most have expressed interest in… then a price range around $30 would be logical.

But in my opinion, once you’ve sold out of your good eBooks to your customers, you should create a “physical” product, and sell it for around $500. This would be a tangible product that you would create manuals, CD’s, DVD’s, membership sites, and even an offline newsletter for. $500 a sale isn’t anything to sneeze at, and the beauty of it all is that you can have all of this automated for you also.

Selling digital products is a hot thing right now. Like I said, a lot traditional means of delivering entertainment is transitioning onto the internet, through mobile communications, and via communications that doesn’t require wires. You should definitely take a look into it for your business if you want to automate your life, and even create a new stream of revenue for yourself.

There are many kinds of digital items that you can sell. Simply visit Amazon’s website for ideas. You already see items being sold in the iTunes and Android market. Use your creativity to develop something that can be extremely profitable for you.

Good luck with creating and selling your own digital products.
